I must admit that a rather like the TED talks.  I recently watched two from their website www.TED.com entitled:

 How Creativity is Being Strangled by the Law by celebrated lawyer Larry Lessig

and Do Schools Kill Creativity by Creativity Expert Sir Ken Robinson

Both well worth the watch.

I came across JPG magazine some time last year and I was completely fascinated.  A magazine with content submitted totally by readers? I didn’t get it? Isn’t there staff? An editorial team? Or at least a design team (since this is a photography magazine)?

Being a Danforth Saver in Recessionary Times

Tips to help you survive the pinch

Since the sub-prime mortgage debacle sent the United States, and subsequently the world, into a recession in late 2007, businesses that haven’t closed their doors altogether, have raised the prices of their goods and services to make up for lost revenue. For example, in October of last year, popular Danforth food market, The Big Carrot had written apologies on its vegetarian lunch counter for having to raise their café prices due to increased product costs. This global epidemic that has really only affected an unfortunate few in Canada so far, is now making its way very close to home.
